After-School Care Worker
Position: After-School Care Worker.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM.
Pay Rate: $16.35 per hour.
Location: Corvian Elementary School.

Position Overview:
Corvian Elementary School is seeking caring, energetic, dependable, and responsible individuals to join our After-School Care team. After-School Care Workers help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for students after the regular school day ends.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact while helping students have a fun and meaningful afternoon.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor students throughout the after-school program.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for all students.
  • Engage students in age-appropriate games, activities, crafts, outdoor play, and other enrichment opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships with students and serve as a caring and encouraging adult.
  • Help students follow after-school expectations, routines, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor student behavior and respond to conflicts or concerns appropriately.
  • Assist with transitions, snack time, cleanup, and dismissal procedures.
  • Communicate with other After-School Care staff regarding student needs, behavior, and safety concerns.
  • Clean and organize classrooms, activity spaces, and common areas used by the program.
  • Assist with cleaning up after snacks, activities, games, and other program activities.
  • Return materials and supplies to their appropriate locations at the end of each day.
  • Follow all school and after-school program policies and procedures.
  • Ensure students are supervised at all times and released only to authorized adults.
  • Support a positive school culture by modeling kindness, respect, responsibility, and enthusiasm.

Qualifications & Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully complete and maintain a cleared criminal background check prior to working with students.
  • Enjoy working with elementary-aged children.
  • Be dependable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be patient, energetic, and positive.
  • Be comfortable managing groups of children.
  • Be able to create and lead engaging activities.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to respond appropriately to student needs.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Prior childcare, teaching, camp, coaching, or youth-program experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule & Compensation:
  • Monday–Friday.
  • 3:00 PM–6:00 PM.
  • $16.35 per hour.
